We are a family business with a history spanning over two generations in the sealing solution industry. The third generation is ready to take the reins.

Our story began a January day in 1970 when Bo Svensson took employment at a market-leading sealing company in Landskrona.

Our story.

1980-1990 Tätningshuset is founded

When the leading sealing company closed during the shipyard crisis in Landskrona, Bo was offered a continued employment in Småland. A crossroad arised. Employment or entrepreneurship. Skåne or Småland. The family’s roots are deep in the southern soil, and the love to a hometown determines and lays the foundation for Tätningshuset. A business relationship with a German entrepreneur who founded a fast-growing international and successful sealing company in Hamburg in 1978 begins.

1990-2000 The venture

The collaboration between the two sealing companies in Hamburg and Landskrona deepens and leads to Tätningshuset receiving a strong partner in 1994. At the same time, the son, Peter starts working in the company alongside economics studies in Lund. Between 1995-2000, Tätningshuset invested in a new ERP system, changing the company name, and launched a new website. In addition, a new architect-designed and modern office and warehouse is being built at Hjalmar Brantings väg 25.

2000-2017 Expansion

Between 2000-2002, the son Peter receive an international MBA from Copenhagen Business School and the following year Tätningshuset becomes the subsidiary to the German company. In 2004, Peter becomes Managing Director and co-owner of the Swedish subsidiary, which is now part of a world-leading group. In Sweden, the company is growing with good profitability through increased efficiency and satisfied customers. After 25 years in the company, including 14 years as Managing Director, Peter makes his own decision to leave the company.

2018 - The idea of Sealwell

Peter returns to academic studies, this time a master’s program in digital business development at Linnaeus University. In June 2021, Peter receives his M.Sc. degree and with newly gained digital knowledge, the idea of a new, modern and sustainable sealing company is born. On December 1, 2022, Sealwell move into its own premises at Hjalmar Brantings väg 25. A new chapter is written in our story. In the same premises. In the same city. In the same industry and with the same passion for sealing solutions and satisfied customers.
