The X-ring is a double-acting seal that, unlike the O-ring, has four sealing lips. This makes the X-ring suitable for dynamic functions because its design, compared to an O-ring, provides a smaller contact area, resulting in lower friction. The X-ring can be used in the same installation as an O-ring.
