O-rings.

The O-ring, with its excellent elastic properties and cost-effectiveness, is a versatile and easy sealing solution to use. Sealwell provide a wide range of o-rings in different dimensions, materials, hardnesses and productapprovals (DVWG DIN EN 549, FDA 21 CFR § 177.2600, NSF 61 listing, FDA 21 CFR § 177.1550). We offer moulded, glued, vulcanized and encapsulated O-rings for both standard and special applications.

Some of the most common materials we supply include NBR (Buna-N / Nitrile), FKM (Fluorocarbon / Viton®), EPDM (Ethylene-Propylene), CR (Chloroprene / Neoprene®), FMQ/FVMQ (Fluorosilicone), HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile), FFKM (Perfluoroelastomer / Evolast®), VMQ (Silicone), PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), as well as FEP (Fluoroethylenepropylene) or PTFE encapsulated O-rings with a silicone or FKM core.

Applications

O-ring seals are used in all areas of industrial technology. The applications are divided into static (no movement between machine parts) and dynamic applications (the sealed machine parts move relative to each other). The majority of O-rings are used for static functions.

The designation of O-rings describes the inner diameter (d1), cross-section (d2), material and hardness.

• Tolerances according to DIN ISO 3601-1 class B

• Form and surface deviations according to DIN ISO 3601-3 class N

• Acceptable quality level DIN ISO 2859-1 AQL 1.5
