Outside sealing
The bonded seal is used for sealing between two machine parts, such as threaded pipe connections or between a joint flange. The bonded seal consists of a metal ring with a square or rectangular form to which an elastomeric ring is bonded, such as NBR or FKM. The rubber part can also be self-centering, which facilitates assembly, as in Sealwell type BT 01. Bonded seals are available in different types and sizes to suit various types of applications and sealing requirements.
